How to Choose Your Cable Railing Posts

For decks, patios, and terraces without stairs, you will need surface-mounted posts for straight sections. A standard cable railing layout typically includes end posts (start/end of a run), intermediate posts (support and spacing) and corner posts (direction changes). Our posts are available in different sizes (1½’’ x 1½’’ and 2’’ x 2’’ aluminum posts) and heights (35’’ and 41’’, ideal for residential guardrails and decks).

We keep standard posts in stock for fast delivery (24–48 hours in Eastern Canada). For more complex configurations, we also offer custom-made solutions, including fascia-mounted posts, stair posts (angled sections) and aluminum handrails. Color and warranty

All our standard posts and handrails are painted (powder coat) matte black. For an additional $299,99 CAD, you can pick the color you want. We currently have 10 paint colors to choose from (see our Powder coat color chart). The polyester powder coating used is warranted by GAUTHIERDELAPLANTE for a period of one (1) year against corrosion, rust, tearing, blistering and cracks under certain conditions.
